Dr. Dennis believes every child deserves an opportunity to succeed.  However, educators MUST be equipped to teach all students by providing them with multiple opportunities to learn in a non-judgmental and culturally sensitive educational climate.  The days of traditional classroom instruction continues to reflect in educational research, but most importantly in the classroom as ineffective.  How then must educators equip themselves to effectively meet the needs of their students?

One, educators must have an appreciation of their students as individuals who can see themselves as valued contributors to the lesson.  Educators must also have a greater understanding that the most significant way of communicating with students is non-verbally, through body language.  While, it is clear that educators wear multiple academic and social hats to provide a quality education for their students; they must also be provided with instructional strategies that are proven to be effective without disrupting the components of their lesson that are currently yielding academic success.
